Windows 8s cloud services go beyond just SkyDrive storage. Signing into a Microsoft account on different machines lets you roam or sync all your PC settings such as the lock screen image. Windows 81 is here and its got some handy new features for both the mobile and desktop crowd including some well done SkyDrive integration.
But if you dont use SkyDrive you can easily. Overall Windows 8 SkyDrive integration seems like a winner – even in its early preview. Its built right into the OS and it just works.
And while power users can and will consider other cloud. Cloud storage services are constantly vying for attention and the inclusion of SkyDrive in Windows 81 is indicative of the importance Microsoft places on it. Perhaps you could try unlinking OneDrive on your tower rename SkyDrive directory to OneDrive and then run OneDrive setup again just in case it really does require the new name.
